On a moonlit night

Standing in the cold, on a moonlit night,
Something sparkling catches my sight.
Hovering absent-mindedly in the never-ending sky,
One by one they disappear, then multiply.
When dawn comes they become invisible...
Hidden by the sun's scorching beams, is most feasible.
But in the distance there is one prominent shine,
The North Star, as bright as the moon and sun combined.
A flicker in the distance brings joy to my heart,
Dancing through the heavens,
Twisting, twirling and forming ribbons.
This shooting star, intriguing elegance, blinding supernova,
The earth is disguised all around and over...
Shimmering comets are burning cigars,
I bet you've never noticed the beauty of stars.
