Tiger Lily

Searching, looking
near and far

for a glimpse, a glow
of light, of God.

Then gone, at once.
Your pleading ignorance

Now everywhere you
see shimmering seas

of needs and ideas,
echoes of fear.

Lighting a gloom
in the pale of the moon,

as the storm clouds brew
and the thoughts around you flew

out the window. Dead and gone,
Alone, you sit, and alone you're done.

Alone you hurt and alone you can't bear.
Alone you stop and alone you dare.

But then inspiration,
amongst despair.
