Echoes, silence, patience and grace
Wind, water, land and space.
A house, a home, a shelter, a wife
No waste, no fear, no worry, no strife.
Farming, growing, living, dying
Flowing, ebbing, caring and trying.
Mother, child, life and heart
Father, son, love and art.
All I want is to be there.
This poem was written in response to Lennie and George's dreams in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men.
